Calvin,who is completely enamored by super heroes (see post below the puppy one), was intently staring at an ornate picture of a house - we were at a restaurant. After watching him for a moment, we asked him what he was looking at and he said, "That is where my super hero friends live." Everything lately is about his 'super hero friends'. We've had long conversations about what his friends do and don't do, like that his super hero friends wear big boy underpants and go to the potty and he's said, "No, mama, they wear pull-ups." (he he he) He's pretty funny about it.
Also, he can't say his 'Rs' yet, so Christmas sounds like Chwismas or Supew hewo or Come heah (here). It's so cute (to me anyway)! And, when he eats his cereal (or really any food - but its most pronounced with cereal) he always says mmm...mmm...mmm in a rhythmic pattern as he crunches - even when no one is in the room! It cracks me up!
Alex has been really great about helping with the puppy. She loves to learn all about him and why he looks and acts the way he does. She helps me clean doggy doo and walk him and loves to help train him. She went to the vet with me and remindes me to give him his ear medicine. It amazes me how interested she is. She even got up this morning and came to our room to ask if she could let the puppy out to go potty. I on the other hand, am completely exhausted! But, her enthusiasm keeps me going. We got into a conversation this morning about God and creatures and the food chain and why we have to care for them - she kind of amazes me.

Smart little girl, she takes after her mom for sure! And Calvin sounds adorable. I can just picture the "mmm...mmmm" sounds when he eats. That is dang cute.
